What is a mindful practice?

Paying attention to the present moment with openness, curiosity and without judgement.

Mindfulness is a state of mind that centres around three main ideas:

  • Being present
  • Acting with intention
  • Approaching situations with an engaged attitude

Sounds easy right? But how do we quieten down the monkey mind?

The reason why we love drum and dance is because it demands a level of focus to pay attention to the here and now. We have created a range of short mindful practices you can include in your routine focused on the breath and movement.
