Drumming is an ancient practice that helps you balance spirit and body

Suggestion lesson plan.. choose your own adverture!

 

Session 1: Learn the basic notes (tone, slap and bass), the call and simple djembe rhythm (3 sessions of 15 mins each). 5 minute basic breathing exercise.

Session 2: Learn traditional djembe rhythm and simple introduction

Session 3: Try a West African Dance class.

Session 4: Practice handing exercises or try another rhythm.

Bonus days: Review previous material or browse additional content. Why not try a breathing exercise to calm the mind.
